1/14 [MO]

 * * * END OF Q2 this week!  :)

I.  review b.R.A.C.E. format writing
     b = provide BACKGROUND information; context
           what is happening, where, why, how, when?
     R = RESTATE the question into a statement
            as part of the answer
     A = ANSWER the question; simple, direct
            use words from text when you can
     C = CITE evidence or give proof from the text
            who said or did what? what did the author say/write, etc.
     E = attempt to EVALUATE or analyze
            what does the answer "show

II.  DISCUSS ANSWERS GIVER CH 9
      - both hands on book at all times
         *** READING STRATEGY ***
      - one hand (forefingers) under question to help focus
      - other hand holding down book, scanning for answers in text

III.  WRITE ANSWERS TO GIVER CH 9
       * THIS is where our hero becomes separate, leaves "normal"
       - you may have just heard the answers in your discussion
       - keep a hand on the book/focused on the question and answer
       - leave a one-inch margin at edge of paper
       - write in b.R.A.C.E format
       * this is, essentially, an open-book writing test
