CASTLE SCORE RUBRIC (and checklist)
You may not wind up having all of these parts, BUT they are all worth points.
You can miss a few parts and still score an A.
Score the following elements of your castle based
on a scale of 0-5:
0 (F) = Not there/non-existent;
1 (D) = Very sloppy, but sort of recognizable,
although lacking detail or clarity.
2 (C) = Recognizable, but could use a great deal
of revision and detail;
3 (B) = Recognizable, some detail. Not quite an A, but definitely better than a
C;
4 (A) = Neat, detailed, recognizable
parts. Some creativity or mastery
apparent.
5 (A+) = Outstanding,
above and beyond, creative and original, highly detailed.
Has a “wow” factor.
A 4 is still an “A,” but a 5 indicates a stunning mastery.
A 4 is still an “A,” but a 5 indicates a stunning mastery.

GRADING: There is a potential for up to 200 points or slightly more if ALL of the above are taken into consideration. However, your grade is based on a 150-point scale, which means you can still score an A if you do not include absolutely everything and even possibly forget an item or two. Also, your score is based on an A being 4 points, not 5. The fifth point is like extra credit that is awarded for fantastic detail and creativity and not awarded lightly. So students benefit for each item they put the extra time and energy in order to achieve greater creativity and detail. Bottom line: there is room for extra creativity and time IF you wish to apply yourself and earn more than 150 points.
ANY STORE BOUGHT SHAPES OR CASTLE PARTS RECEIVE NO SCORE, A ZERO.
