continuing to build towards several quick write expository essays
I. ANCIENT ROME ON THE SPOT QUIZ (limited and timed on purpose)
- share what you know/can remember about the ancient Roman Empire (assess knowledge)
- review notes for a quiz (TEN FACTS or more about THE ANCIENT ROMAN EMPIRE)
- practice study skills (cover notes and try to memorize, point finger at words you reading to focus)
- share again at tables; get up and move around to share facts with others; listen to others
- take quiz; may make up at lunch, after school, OR copy information later placed in this blog
II. continue NOTES ON FALL OF ANCIENT ROMAN EMPIRE
- review if you wrote down any last SS class;
- finish notes on HA, CH 1, pages 8-9
- also copy TEACHER-LED CORNELL STYLE NOTES
(teacher will point out design features of Cornell Notes)

__ start/plan 2-3 one-page/3-paragraph rough drafts on such focus topics as:
birth, death, early years, education, or on certain major events.
* rough drafts are worth as many points as the final drafts
