3/16 [TH], 2017 - KNIGHTS

Focus on taking notes with intent and purpose
Also focus on segmenting/dividing up notes by topic

I.  KNIGHTS- continued
- review what we know so far
- continue w/ encyclopedia article
SSR Read "Code of Chivalry" sub section
- create one page Cornell-Style notes on above topic (SS Spiral)
- now write teacher-led Cornell Notes that divide topic into two:
Code of Chivalry: Expected Code of Behavior and Background
Code of Chivalry: Reality in Real Life (What could knights really be like, according to encycl)
* from this we could write a focused small essay, a poem, or even a focused long paragraph w/ details

II.  Life in the Middle Ages video series:  THE KNIGHT
- video notes (Key Word list)
- take note of how video is introducted (introduction to thesis/main idea of video)
   it's just like an essay/writing
- skip lines with new topics/concepts (paragraph breaks)
- capitalize key words to find easily; key concepts or vocabulary or points

* during segments, we'll share, discuss, write down, and teacher will also model notes.
