         They will not be perfect; gives you something to revise, work with
          Use your planning sheet/ideas sheet
     -- As you read, be thinking about book design and size

I.  VOCABULARY PRE-QUIZ
* initial focus on Latin Prefixes, Suffixes, Root Words
   (Word parts with meaning)

     MONDAY PREQUIZ PROCESS
a) HEAR the word and attempt to spell it
b) HEAR word USED in SENTENCE to determine the meaning
     (use context clues)
c) GUESS WORD PART based on how it is used in the sentence
d)  SELF-CORRECT spelling, begin first day of packet

- review story so far (use notes)
- read aloud/discuss as we go
- notes on plot, theme, characterization, motifs
   (as we recognize them)
