5/25 [WE], 2016 -- CRUSADES/writing continued (end of unit)

I.  CRUSADES (pre-writing steps)
- review three different outline techniques
  i.e  (A) WEB OUTLINE;
         (B) POINTS TO MAKE LIST OUTLINE;
         (C) MAIN IDEA & DETAILS OUTLINE (Roman Numerals with letters)

- review essential questions we always ask and which must be answered in essays on a topic
- CREATE AN OUTLINE OF YOUR TYPE CHOICE using all notes, or the text, or the quiz

II.  CRUSADES - expository essay/informational (NOT opinion or editorial)
- use outline
- use strong, specific language
- clear opening and strong, clear conclusion
- 1-2 pages in SS Spiral (1 page & a paragraph minimum, 2 pages max -- period.)
- review as a class points/phrases that should have been included
* looking for at least 20 points worth of points/important details

___ continue Twelfth Night Brainstorm List if you didn't finish (50-90 due /w Vocab, FRI, 5/27)
       * should be done with this by now

___ look up a few words for 12 N Vocab (25 Words w/ sentences & definitions due by  FRI, 5/27)
       * continue a few each night to finish by Fri OR plan out when to do more words

___ begin to read 12th Night reading packet (short story prose version) FINISH BY TUES, 5/31
       * should have finished pages 51-61 by this point and be reading towards the end of packet
