* unfortunately, the Book Fair is taking up more space than we thought and not all castles can be showcased in the library

BOOK FAIR THIS WEEK !!!


I.  VOCAB WEEK 14
* skipping 12 & 13 for now (wanted to get 14 in now)
- PREQUIZ --
           hear words, try to spell
           hear word used in sentence, try to guess word part of speech & definition/meaning
- SELF-CORRECT
          use packet to correct any misspelled words
          check definitions in a-e of each page to see if your definition came close
          circle those that did

- WORK ON WK 14 DAY 1
* complete Day 2 as Monday HW
* Day 3 as Tuesday HW
* Day 4 as Wednesday HW

*** Open Topic Sentences (work on a few each night as you finish each days words)


II.  OUTSIDERS CH 10
- review CH 9
- discuss what Johnny learns by the end of CH 9
  * need to include poem and meaning of poem
  * at the time, the poem didn't make sense, it does now

- write brief SUMMARY of CH 10 in spiral
- 2nd half of page, write REACTION/COMMENTARY of CH 10
- one page only

* continue reading Chapter 11 if you finish with this page in spiral

       * begin to color code: one color for PRO statements, a different color for CON (against)
       * begin to answer a few questions a night or plan on which night to blast these out
