I. EMC READING COMPREHENSION test (district required)
- Read story, answer multiple choice questions
- District-wide required assessment test
* Scores will be implemented as an assessment of where student is at
but no students can fail for taking the test.
* Scores in SYNERGY will indicate level of reading comprehension for your student
* if you finish the test before others, continue working quietly on Outsiders Qs, finishing
Outsiders Chapter 3, or working on Castles Vocab Cheat Sheet and Expository Essay Outline
II. CASTLES
- Castle Parts matching and coloring worksheet (further visual for design ideas)
- Castle Parts Crossword (side one) Castle Parts Word Search (side 2)
- begin chapter 3 Q's using bRACE format in spiral if you finish
* again, no more than 2 pages of written answers
* minimum of 1 answer per chapter (underlined questions)
III. CASTLES READING PACKET (due NEXT Friday, Feb 26)
- will be handed out today or Friday
- home reading
- enhance what we are doing in class
- provides extra reading depth and stronger ideas for Castle Project
- also gives students more vocab work
