I.  EMC READING COMPREHENSION test (district required)
- Read story, answer multiple choice questions
- District-wide required assessment test
* Scores will be implemented as an assessment of where student is at
   but no students can fail for taking the test.
* Scores in SYNERGY will indicate level of reading comprehension for your student

* if you finish the test before others, continue working quietly on Outsiders Qs, finishing
   Outsiders Chapter 3, or working on Castles Vocab Cheat Sheet and Expository Essay Outline


II.  CASTLES
- Castle Parts matching and coloring worksheet (further visual for design ideas)
- Castle Parts Crossword (side one) Castle Parts Word Search (side 2)
- begin chapter 3 Q's using bRACE format in spiral if you finish
* again, no more than 2 pages of written answers
* minimum of 1 answer per chapter (underlined questions)


III.  CASTLES READING PACKET (due NEXT Friday, Feb 26)
- will be handed out today or Friday
- home reading
- enhance what we are doing in class
- provides extra reading depth and stronger ideas for Castle Project
- also gives students more vocab work

* MUST SHOW READING:
    box key vocab terms (recognize such words),
    underline definition details

___ continue  CASTLE PARTS VOCAB (due Monday)
       using notes from video and encyclopedia or independent research
       Left column = 2-3 letter abbreviation (study strategy for cheat sheet)
       Right side for word or words and definition
       Fold over paper to cover word for study purposes
       On folded over side, write possible materials you'd use for that part (pre-planning)
       * focus on parts you will include in your castle project
       * determine 25 parts (before teacher gives you the actual list)

       create an OUTLINE for your  HISTORY OF CASTLES EXPOSITORY ESSAY
