WREATH ORDER PICK UP IS THIS WEDNESDAY, DEC. 2
3:15-4:30 IN THE MPR/KITCHEN AREA

STUDENTS WHO TOOK ORDERS 
PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PICK UP YOUR ORDERS 
FOR DISTRIBUTION

I.  VOCAB WEEK 5 (prequiz)
- hear word and try to spell
- hear word in context/sentence and try to determine part of speech and definition
- correct spelling with packet
- glance at your definitions versus #6-10 definitions to see if you guessed spot on

- work on VOC WK5 Day 1 in class
* use step by step checklist taped into tracker to ensure all sections done properly
* DAY 2 is HW for Monday
* SENTENCES THIS WEEK ARE ALL ABOUT DECEMBER OR WINTER.
   All sentences related in some way to December or winter.


II.  TALL TALES (pre quiz) -- Mr. Witmer
- quick pre quiz to assess current student knowledge
- walk through scoring
- not graded by score/participation points

III.  ATLAS HW (due FR)
- walk through
- teacher model process/expectations
- students work in groups on the first few "factual" statements that need to be corrected
* "ATLAS OBSERVATION" INSTRUCTIONS handed out to be flip-taped into trackers

HOMEWORK -- as always, a suggested plan for when and how much HW to do

1.  ___  continue VOC WK 5 D2 (pckt due TH)
2.  ___  begin VOC WK 5 SENTENCES  (due FR)
             * all sentences somehow related to winter or December
             * sentences must have context/detail to SHOW meaning of a word
             * underline or box vocab word so that it is easy to see and find in sentence
             * skip lines between sentences
             * full title (WINTER SENTENCES FROM VOCAB WEEK 5)
             * always include idioms
 3.  ___  begin/review/look over GEOGRAPHY CROSSWORD: KANSAS (due FR)
              * show reading
4.  ___  continue/review or make sure you know when you'll do ATLAS SENTENCES (due FR)
              * this could be done on another night, BUT you have it planned and know when

ALSO:  
MIDDLE AGES YOUNG ADULT FICTION NOVELS can be turned in once you have completed the vocabulary lists in your spiral (they were supposed to be finished last week)
