** PENNY DRIVE continues
     $6.00 or more due ($6.00 minimum if student decided to participate in 12/19 snack time)

** FIRST ASHLAND PAYMENT DUE this Wednesday, Dec. 10
     - first payment considered made if you have $50 or more in fundraising credit so far


I.  PLOT/STORY MAP (peak of story)
- worksheet/review (all leads into next book report)
- read quietly/discuss as class and in groups



II.  CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED (library)
- peruse the library's copies of Classics Illustrated novels
- Choose a novel/Classics Illustrated that you like and are interested in
* we have few actual, unabridged copies of the classics in our library
* stronger readers will be expected to find or download originals with help of parents
* read from now through the break
* book report (to be handed out) will be due the Friday of the week we return after the break

__ complete VOCAB WEEK 6  SENTENCES
     24 sentences (can be turned in Monday, as there seemed to be enough confusion about this)
     SENTENCES ON ANY TOPIC or THEME (open subject)

__ finish GEOGRAPHY CROSSWORD: ANTARCTICA (due FRIDAY)
     * must show reading or grade is no more than a C- or a high D

__ finish ATLAS HW (due FR)
     Peruse Pages 181-183/make observations
     _ 10 facts based on reading captions or facts (detailed sentence format)
     _ 10 observations (use instructions in spirals) by looking at maps
         A reader must be able to figure out place and direction by detailed sentences
         * look at and use examples from instruction sheet

__  Begin to read Classics Illustrated novel (finish by end of break)
      *some of you will begin to find ways to check out or download original
