SCHOOL SUPPLIES LIST FOR CORE
These are items we will be using. Some are common to every class. Some are particular to CORE. Several are suggested items we will use or need throughout the year.
Of all the items listed below, we will begin using spiral notebooks almost immediately.
I've been buying and storing them up over the summer, so no worries, if you don't have two
by the first week. I can deal.
THE USUAL SUSPECTS:
___ a durable BINDER that can hold paper, spirals, pencil pouch, etc.
___ #2 Pencils and pens (for final copies)
___ Hand Held erasers (1-2)
___ Pocket Subject Dividers for binders (Lang. Arts, Soc. Stud., Reading, etc.)
___ Pencil Pouch for pencils, sharpeners, glue sticks, etc.
___ Colored Pencils (for personal use, although I do have a supply in class)
NOT REQUIRED BY ANY MEANS, BUT SURE HELPFUL TO HAVE ON HAND:
___ 3-hole punch binder Dictionary (Dollar Store or Dollar Tree)
___ High-liters (2 -yellow and light green or orange or light blue)
___ Pencil Top Erasers (20+ -- the kids burn through them during the year. I give out a lot)
___ Fine Tip Black Pens of your choice for final drafts of poems/artwork/etc.
SHARED CLASSROOM SUPPLIES
Below is a list of items students seem to burn through, lose, or always request.
These are items that I buy from the Dollar Store or the Dollar Tree on a recurring basis.
___ Kleenex (1-2 boxes) -- kids REALLY go through this (will share with Math & Science)
___ Lysol or Clorox Sanitizing wipes
___ Hand Sanitizer (1) *will share with Math & Science
___ a couple of good, quality Hand Held Pencil Sharpener (1-2)
* kids go through these like crazy
___ Fine Tip Black Pens for art/final projects (not required, more of a wish list item)
___ 2-3 Glue sticks (not required, more of a wish list item)
GREAT IF YOU CAN FIND IT ITEMS - OPTIONAL, NOT MANDATORY:
Ruler (3-hole punch, sturdy, usually plastic)
Binder 3-Hole Punch (helps store items IN binder more easily)
3-hole punched binder Dictionary (Dollar Store or Dollar Tree) - great resource to have on hand
3-hole punched binder Thesaurus (Dollar Store or Dollar Tree)
1-2g Thumb/Flash drive for saving information
(unless student can email from home, use school Y drives)
