- brainstorm all the jobs/careers  you can think of (LA Spiral, left side)
- discuss or share with class or as a group

- create Top Five Lists of "Best Jobs," "Worst Jobs," and "Most Important Jobs"
- be prepared to defend choices

- QUICK WRITE:  "What is your dream job?"  Explain, define, describe, etc.
- one page in LA Spiral

III.  READ THE GIVER
- up to end of Chapter 8
