II. POETRY SCRAPBOOK VOCAB (due IN Scrapbook on FRI)
- brainstorm/skim & scan for up to 60-70 words
- words that would go into a glossary
- words that help better understand culture or aspects of story
- write down page number where word is found
* will write sentence in which word is used for final glossary
* go through list of 60-70 words and consider any words you could write a poem on
cinquain, diamonte, quatrain, rhyming, preposition, acrostic, etc.
VOCAB/GLOSSARY: WORD, * word part * extended and detailed definition, *

III. ONOMATOPOEIA - rough draft
- define word; what "sounds" occur in your novel?
- pick a moment, a chapter, a character, or cover the whole book
- QUICK quick write/on demand rough draft
- detailed lines (i.e. "DRIP of water from a broken water pipe in the kitchen"
