- read instructions, definitions, and examples
- show reading; teacher walks through think aloud process
- complete "Direct Objects" in class; teacher discussion
- work in groups on "Indirect Objects" (start only)

II.  FAMILY TREE
- review notes; share story so far
- continue notes Chpt. 19, 20, 21
- discuss/predict/think about purpose of each chapter

- write down format in tracker
- begin finding and writing examples of "exaggerated" writing

         back of page 2 = list of exaggerations/improbable descriptions
