 FIRST ROUND OF CONFERENCES TONIGHT.
CONFERENCES FOR UPPER GRADES IN THE LIBRARY/MEDIA CENTER.
TIME SCHEDULED IS TO SEE YOUR CORE TEACHER
ROUND ROBIN VISIT MATH, SCIENCE, AND OTHER CLASSES BEFORE OR AFTER.

I.  Quick Write - Parent-Teacher Conferences
- Pretend you are Mr. Gentile, speaking to your parents about you
- What will Mr. Gentile say about the type of student you are in core?
- Your work habits and performance?  The quality of your homework?
- Your strengths and weaknesses?
* self-awareness writing activity; write in the third person; 1-2 pages, handwritten
* also asks students to see a topic from  someone ELSE's perspective

II.  FEUDALISM continued
- review what you know so far
- finish Interactive Student Notebook (ISN) pages 12-13-14

III.  video - LIFE IN THE MIDDLE AGES: FEUDAL STRUCTURE
- How to take video notes; looking at videos as essays
- View; notes in SS Spiral; discuss certain Q's in class
Q:  What was the feudal structure in Middle Ages Europe and who were the key players?

___  complete/finish VOCAB WK 7  (was due FRI)
        * significant number of students DID NOT have vocab finished
        * we could not, as a result, fully correct in groups in class
        * students who turn in on Friday will recieve full credit
        * students who did not finish have the Thanksgiving break to finish (due Mon)
        * sentences on November or Thanksgiving also due
        * Write sentences on a separate sheet of paper with proper formatting

___  finish "EUROPE" crossword puzzle (due FRI)
        * text clues is too small to really show reading, unless you can do it neatly
        * use Atlas or Google or other maps to find answers
        * This is a challenging CW and tests your ability to use resources
        * you may not finish it all;  also, there ARE errors that can only be found
           by showing you actually read the clues and looked at the answer boxes
