- review chapter examples/how others divided books
- think about YOUR chapters and break down of your person's life
- begin brainstorming ideas for chapter topics (obvious: birth, death, etc.)
- use scratch paper to fold up into "small chapter" mock up
- jot out a list of ideas/words that you will mention in each chapter
- be general (birthdate, since you know you'll mention this)
- or specific if you can (instead of "birthdate," write "April of 1456.")
