I.  CASTLE PARTS - quiz #2
- discuss at tables what parts are essential to a strong, defensible castle
-  close book quiz
* intended to get kids to review what should be part of their castle project
* materials should be collected by now & students ready to put everything together
   (this week if they have time or this weekend)

II. MEDIEVAL TOWNS
Q:  What would often develop around a castle when it is built?
Q: How do we eventually see the end of the castle era and the rise of towns in Europe?
-  read HISTORY ALIVE - CHAPTER 4
- begin INTERACTIVE STUDENT NOTEBOOK 4.2-4.8

___   PLANNING AND DESIGNING YOUR CASTLE (due next Tuesday, March. 5th)

        If your castle is due next Tuesday, you should be done with planning
        You should have most or all of your materials ready
        You should plan on blocking out time this weekend or in parts during the week
        *  Your science fair project is still in the planning stages so, yes, you are thinking about that, too.
