I.  CHARLEMAGNE ESSAY PREP
- Review of notes in your spiral (knowing you have write a one-page essay)
- begin to circle or star words/ideas you want to include
- READ History Alive 2.2, pages 20-21
- take notes FOR your essay; you choose what's important
- continue/finish Charlemagne video

III.  CHARLEMAGNE ESSAY - quick write
- outline or plan your organization
- words and ideas you will use; plan order of information
- write one page quick write essay.  One page only.
* PURPOSE:  to get used to writing one page, factual essays on demand
* walk through the process of getting ready for such an essay
* writing on demand in a limited amount of space
* writing with detail on demand

* students are expected to plan out their homework for the week, deciding on which pages to complete each night.  There are 7 total pages in this weeks' homework, with an 8th page being the 
crossword map.
* ONE TWO-SIDED PAGE PER NIGHT WOULD LET STUDENTS FINISH BY FRIDAY
