I. .VOCABULARY WEEK 3
- group work/complete and correct

* may earn extra credit by taking home and writing original sentences

take home packet and turn in on Monday (won't be considered late)

* unfortunate lecture on how THIS is always going to be one of the

primary grading assignments, yet the last two weeks, students have been

blowing off this work;  almost always SAME schedule every week

II.  FAMILY TREE QUICK WRITE:
- If you could be any plant, what kind of plant would you be and why?
*leads in to theme of Chapter 16-17

II.  FAMILY TREE CHPT. 16-17
- read aloud
- point out themes, symbols, author's style, etc.
- students answer questions as I read; also discuss in pairs
