vocabulary
I.  VOCAB check in
- take a few minutes to look over vocab, figure out what's left to do
- get one or two more answers written in before class starts
* coming into class is not socialize loudly time.  Enter class, open tracker,
   look over work or expectations (3rd day we've done this)

language arts/poetry

II.  FOG by Carl Sandburg
- look at images of cats and fog (make associations)
- read Fog silently, then discuss and annotate in groups
- teacher-led lecture on breaking down poem and metaphor
- connect FOG to Tyler Stoudt's life (from Family Tree)


literature
III.  FAMILY TREE - CH. 6 (Tells Casey Her Amish Secret)
- Discuss/review Chapter 5 Q's (table discussion)
- Listen to Ch. 6, answer Q's as we read
- QW: reaction to Ch. 6 
- Discuss/Review Ch. 6 Q's (table discussion)

- continue to mention/point out how author uses words
