- and yet, we have very little knowledge of the subject/people/religion
A. QW: What comes to mind when you hear or think of the terms "Muslim" or "Islam?"
- write one page, max. Thoughts, perceptions, images, feelings, stories, etc.
- share with partners, then discuss as classs
B. Questioning Strategy
- write questions surrounding the word "Islam" * pre-reading strategy

- read a section; create a Cornell-Style note for each section
- read section first, then review to take notes
