FAMILY WRITE NIGHT THIS WEDNESDAY @ ROSEWAY HEIGHTS  from 6:00-8:00

* FREE PIZZA dinner to start off the night

* Lots of fun writing activities that you do together with your friends and family

* extra credit available to students for meaningful participation in writing activities

* parents or adult guardians must be present with student

I.  OAKS STATE READING TEST  - Day 2
- first of a potential three tests
- if finished, work on Literary Letter, vocab, Atlas wksht, etc.
- could also research and take Cornell-style notes on Quakers, Amish, Shakers, Heugenots

II.  LITERARY LETTER (11/9/10)
- conversational reflection on current reading since last library
* last Wednesday
- focus less on just telling plot, more on reflections
- personal comments, thoughts, feelings, things you wondered or were reminded of, etc.
* 1-2 hand written pages.  In class.

III.  FAMILY TREE - Chpt. 20-21
- "the chickens come home to roost"
OR Tyler's letters bear fruit
OR Tyler's letter brings Uncle Levi to visit

- clearly reaching the end of the novel;
seemingly a happy ending (we should know better)
