- read short scary stories
- walk around oral tellings (without aids)
* goal is to help students better tell stories, get a feel for the "sound" of telling stories and the need for sequential information and details that help convey mood or tone.

II.  SCARY STORY - using descriptive language to evoke mood/tone
- continue to brainstorm/web/map story
-begin writing first draft
* final copies due by Friday; students may type at home
* can be hand written or typed; we WILL finish in class on Friday
* must fit into ghost shape; long stories won't fit; must cut/edit
* no ultra violent or gory scenes
