A. PART ONE
- write, in prose form, the Fired Drill Procedure
(practice expository writing)
B. PART TWO
- write down all observations - sights, sounds, shapes, feelings, etc.
III. FIRE DRILL POEM
- copy down "format" of expected poem (it has to look like "this" when you are done)
- walk through creation of one rapid fire poem, just taking random words
- play with sound, intonation, phrases; discuss Bob Dylan
- students write 1-3 quick rough drafts of poem
* Fire Drill Poem due Monday, final copy in pen, with colors/images
