I. POWER VERBS

- 3-5 verbs/action words for every block letter on hand outs

II. SPRING BREAK WALKABOUT QUIZ
- using list, find classmates who... (see list)
- jot down initials and a detail word or two
- share something someone else did (class activity)
III. POWER SENTENCES
- after viewing and discussing model sentences
create complex sentences of activities from Spring Break
- sentences must start with a past tense verb
- sentences must be complex, not simple (with adjectives, clauses, etc.)
- sentences should help reader "see" who, what, where, why, how, when
