- loosely trace left hand on paper, including wrist
- each finger lists one major event
- fingernail is the page event occurs on
- palm lists words that are challenging or interesting or meaningful
- list page numbers; write in pattern that resembles palm lines
- "mood" ring on each finger; matches mood of event
- wrist watch on wrist that tells "time"/ when
- bottom part of wrist is reaction/what I thought/how I felt
