- read silently, answer Q's
- discuss/outline cause & effect plot events as a class
- discuss how certain adjectives, words, descriptions help us make connections
- discuss how "FATE" is the single most important word to figure out genre
- create 7-10 detailed cause & effect plot events from HBM story
